TELL US ABOUT YOUR HOME

Type of home
Do you own or rent?
Is your yard fenced?
Does your property (HOA or Lease) allow dogs
Does your home have stairs?
Are you looking to adopt a pup as an emotional support / therapy pet?
Do you have a pool?
I agree that I will not leave my pet OUTSIDE (this includes no open doggie doors) unsupervised or unprotected.
If you live in an area known to have Coyotes, Owls, or Hawks, you need to take extra precautions when your dog might be outside. Owls are nocturnal, Hawks are active in the day and Coyotes are very active in the early morning, daytime and at night. These predators can carry off or cause serious injury to a small pet quickly.

WHAT DO YOU WANT IN YOUR NEW PET?

Gender Preference?
Age Preference?
There are times when we rescue “non fluffy” pups into our rescue. Would you consider adopting one of these pups?
Would you like to learn more about our foster to adopt program?

TRAINING YOUR NEW PUP

Are you committed to providing basic training for a dog?
Are you willing to crate train a dog?
Are you willing to housetrain a dog?
Are you willing to establish and maintain house rules and boundaries for your dog?
Are you willing and able to walk your pup 30 minutes per day, twice a day?
When pups in training become available for adoption would you like to be notified?
From time to time BRB takes in pups who spend time with a professional trainer to smooth out their rough edges. Once these pups have completed their training program they become adoptable. We require adopters have no young children, spend 1-3 sessions with the pup and the trainer and be 110% committed to continuing the training routine at home for the first few weeks. Adopters have continued access to the trainer as needed, post adoption. When a pup in training becomes available for adoption would you like to be notified?

OTHER QUESTIONS

Would you consider a special need dog?
(Please note that we cannot guarantee that pet’s availability once your application is approved.)
If you specified a particular dog, have you read this dog's entire profile and feel you can meet all his/her needs?

VERIFICATION

I confirm that I am at least twenty-one (21) years old and am interested in adopting a dog. I understand that adopting a dog is a long-term commitment and that I intend to care for this pet for the course of its natural life. This breed of dog is considered to be an indoor / house dog and will not be left unattended outside the home. IF for any reason this adoption does not work, I agree to return the dog to Bichon Rescue Brigade to be re-homed and I will not sell nor give the dog to a third party that previously has not been approved by BRB. I have read and understand the adoption fees and confirm that I am financially capable of caring for this dog throughout its natural life.
